Power play: Make like a ghost

Power Players always know when it’s time to make like a ghost and leave the room. If we really listen to our instincts, we all know when our presence isn’t required.

Power Players are always one step ahead and know when to remove themselves from a situation before they are asked to leave -- or worse, everyone else in the room is praying to God that a piano falls on their head.

Like any smart Power Player, know how to read the temperature of a room and whether you being in that room makes it worse.

Know when to be invisible. Become expert at leaving a very small shadow or making your presence so small that people can’t even remember if you were in the room.

Read the signs. Know the signs. Make like a ghost when your presence is of no help whatsoever.
