Power Play: Visit your history

Power Players like to take a good look at where they’ve come from. It helps them keep their perspective. Another way to look at it is that Power Players like to visit their history.

It’s because one of the best ways to get a view of the future and where things might go is to take a look at where things have come from. It’s called a trajectory and history is a great indicator of the future.

Go visit your history from time to time. See where you’ve come from. When things were (or at least seemed) simpler. Power Players like to take the occasional trip down memory lane. It’s clarifying, illuminating, sometimes even exhilarating.

Make sure you remember your history. Don’t do what the pussies do, which is to bury their history, or worse try to re-write it. Embrace it, visit it and most of all learn from it. It will save you. I promise.
